CURRENT EVACUATIONS: NONE

Animal Disaster Services is "activated" when an incident has been identified as a threat to human life and/or property. We are alerted by either the Yavapai County Sheriff's Office (YCSO) and/or the Yavapai County Office of Emergency Management (YCOEM). Immediately, A.D.S. sends a notification to all shelter volunteers asking for their availability for scheduling over the next 72 hours. We then determine, in collaboration with American Red Cross, the most appropriate location for the temporary animal shelter and relay that information to YCSO and YCOEM. The small animal shelter is set up by the A.D.S. team within four hours and is ready to receive animals once an evacuation GO order is issued by YCSO or YCOEM.
Our temporary facilities are designed to provide the best possible environment for the animals in our care. We have spacious kennels, outdoor play areas, and a team of experienced professionals who ensure that all of our animals receive the highest level of care.
For sheltering or evacuation assistance of large animals and barn animals, see our PARTNERS page for LASER and EEE.

Animal Disaster Services provides shelter for:
We are focused on providing safe shelter for private owners (individuals, families, and household) of pets.
For businesses, shelters, and rescues, please contact A.D.S. at AnimalDisasterServices@gmail.com for a commercial agreement prior to seeking shelter services.
BASIC SHELTER RULES
Only credentialed A.D.S. volunteers and animal owners (with identification) are allowed in the shelter.
We provide standard dog/cat food purchased at local pet stores or grocery stores. If your pet has special dietary requirements, you must provide those supplies to A.D.S.
We do not give medications unless they can be incorporated into the feeding process.
When the evacuation is lifted, all animals must be picked up from the shelter by the owner within 24 hours.
You can be ready ahead of time by completing the Shelter Intake Form below and downloading the A.D.S. Prepardeness card that provides information on what you need to include in your pet's GO BAG.
